Bartley SUP is a fully inclusive and a not-for-profit club. As a member you will have access to the private waters of Bartley reservoir for stand-up paddle boarding activities. You can paddle with us during our club sessions on fully insured and licensed club boards, or you can use your own equipment.

In addition to this, you will be invited to additional organised club activities such as: surf weekends; adventure paddles; polo sessions; additional training sessions; social events; and many more events that take place all across the country.
Becoming a member is a great way to keep fit and active, meet like-minded people, make new friends and have loads of fun.

Membership Price
£102 a year (£8:50 per month) plus joining fee (£20)

Access to Bartley Reservoir every weekend of the year and summer evenings along with club meets on Sunday mornings

Invitations to further SUP activities (e.g. surf, polo, races, etc.) and fun social events on and off site

Opportunities for further training sessions and courses by experience qualified coaches

Full equipment hire (board, paddle, leash and buoyance aid) is available for just £5 a session
How to become a Bartley SUP member?

For safety reasons, paddlers must follow the club membership guidance notes and meet the 'club paddler standard' before they are able to paddle unaccompanied.
​
To be self-sufficient when out on the water, you should be able to:​

Paddle standing up in a straight line for 100 metres

Turn the board 360 degrees in both directions using two different techniques

Turn the board whilst moving

Increase and decrease paddle strength and rhythm over 100 metres

Paddle upwind, downwind and crosswind in a light breeze.

Prone paddle (self-rescue) & demonstrate getting back on your board from the water

If you want to join Bartley SUP but have no previous experience, do not worry, our instructors can help you on your way to meet the 'Club Paddler' standard and develop your personal paddling skills. Hit the "Become a member "button below
